This is my first time to draw fully illustration for serious. It was given like 2 months. I was warming up with a few pieces of compositing, angle, perspective to get the right mood before decide for painting.

It's stress since i don't have a proper professional working flow. Anyway, daily speed painting kinda solved my worries when painting small area.

4th was eventually done more based on description and wanted elements.

Here is the compostion which can tell the city story much obviously.

Anyway, still painting for this piece.
It's been a week since the right one had been chosen to paint.Got to get it done by this few days!

Robot pieces

This moment i tried to get rid of incident drawing and experimental too much in getting the art feel inside.

It's exhausting to keep painting and get the feel. Time wasting is a killer.

Environment is still in learning. One of the area that i concern about.
Painting with feeling is bad... sometimes.

This Knight was done with a relaxing mindset. Couldn't remember the exactly i spent into this. Probably not over 2 hours.

I was thinking Terms when painting this. Majestic, Mystery, King, Powerful, Coolness, Wild....

Term is useful when want to have a direction of asthetic happend in the painting.

It's kind of a journey but i feel that keep painting is not the only way to create better pictures.

That's the moment i realized compositing is the key to make a good looking picture. And i spent more study and analysis in compositing theory for my painting.

Sometimes drawing Artsy makes me feel the joyful inside not like pursuing a high skill in painting instead of sharing my soul in the art peacefully. The Right one is a Gal holding another

Environment took my years to get into a better image. It's not easy. Nothing comes easy. No one say that..

First piece was another improved version from the bottom piece in 2nd day. The Right piece was done in an hour. 2nd day is to see what can i improve from what i had done for the first time. Less than an hour.

Sometimes it's a challenge in mentality to see how far an art can involved. Gotta chew on the word, nothing done in first few strokes or sketches. The longer devotion can get more surprises in the later.

Tonal Painting and Light painting..
Will do more experiment and practicing on this area.

This sketch done to find out a comfortability method to draw my very first comic after so many years. Reading comic is easier. To create gonna squeeze me alot of knowledge and effort to get it done. Anyway, it's a feel cool journey. It's gonna built a pavement for my future project too.
Busy brainchild... Busy.... and discipline seems fading easily.

I found out myself getting inspiration easier when i lie on my bed to sleep. So, some story plots had been draft out between 3am until 6 something in the morning. Silence keeps my brain imagine sweet material that i will keep polishing on.

Eventually, drafted out two stories before fell into deep sleep.

Some stories and experienced i studied from great persons during this few days.
Welcome the failures into our life to learn for a success.
Every success comes from failures.
Make friends with failures.
Lately came across this philosophy from two inspired artist that i know of.
Marc Forster the Director from Finding Neverland is one who like to challenge different movie style. He treats failure as a positive gear to push him into a higher ground to create his movie.
Sometimes don't plan for everything and leave 20% for it happend naturally.
World is always an unpredictable cynical place to live in.

He personally love "Stay" movie somehow it get a weak blockbuster. Sometimes the more we invest into one thing and fully dedication to wish it will get the healthy respond it should be will cause our ego take over in learning the failures chances.

Another artist is Steve Jobs. Read his Famous Stamford speech from Sinchew paper again this week. He was resigned from his CEO in Apple Company. A Man Who pursuit Perfection in his dream without obstacles.

Stay hungry Stay Foolish. Anything we learn today & yesterday, will be connected like dots in creating our dream. Nothing will be wasteful as we keep forwarding to the path that we believe in.

Two different mentality in getting their job's done. Whatever it is. Both success born from failures and keep trying.

Lastly, Inspiration flashing when we are working on it. Don't wait for inspiration to make us working.

I rest but i won't quit.

June. I quit my almost 3 years full-timer job from the company.

It's a decision to keep my learning curve grows higher into another transition stage. I had minimum stamina to study what i interested to do after work. The most after-job stuff i can still exhausted in completing is speed painting for an hour or 2 hours for MAX. Even though, turn on the video tutorial and force myself finished the video doesn't bring affection and knowledge planted into my braincell.

Reason : There is no urgency for the knowledge for the current being. You study something due to it is useful knowledge but it is not a must-have knowledge at the moment. The more you try to squeeze-in the more you forgotten about it. It's a time wasting idiotic assignment. It leads nothing in the end. A knowledge learnt must be take into Action to understand its power. An interesting project will make me the neccessary in watching more video tutorial for one motive behind these time consuming stages.

Low-morale or self-doubt? It doesn't means a thing cause all these questions lead to the same answer everytimes after a moment of Pauseability. -- I feel better in doing stuff that acknowledge me the idea in life creation. Doesn't care is by doing 2D or 3D stuff. But due to time constraint and speedy up the idea out of my vision. Drawing is the best tool to sketch out stuff before it fade away or even worse lazy to jot down as memory notes. It's the efficiency and low-cost production tool ever. Never worry bout getting a cutting edge to speed up rendering or multi-processing workloads to fasten up the product. Ideas came and flow quickly than you can eventually complete at once in a 3d working environment.

Every single things will connected each others for one strong reason when its the moment it arrive for such meaningful intention. So, leave it now. Things will come back as welcome & pleasure when you needed it someday. Forcible will just grows hatred and annoyed.

Always stick to the progress that comfort our delivering ideas & concepts is what the artist keep moving on and focusing at the meaning in doing Art.

3D is a great tool for one in a production teamwork. A great experience in improving the importance of lighting setup & details for audience recognition of the subjects or any single objects. The major lesson i learnt in texturing. Details is the key to clearly present an object.

My painting always got the flaw in complete as a silhouette instead of a understandable object. A little decent details is what it lack of, a necessary one.

More stuff to carry on these days instead of just plainly improving skills in painting.

Business study, life assurance, motivational, financial in-grown... Money Money is the rolling gear to keep everything move forward without depressive.

Anyway, it's a journey must step on once a while we had been landing at the same spot for such a long while. Life should be constantly welcome a new challenge else it's a lifeless robot with the repetitive feeding braincell... Comfort zone is the worst enemies to the human being.

Planning for own career is a brave act and most people not going to do it. It shows weakness from yourself and it attracts criticsm & tease from the surrounding. Not many could success in pursue their dream. Life is not all bout the final point of successful sometimes. You don't get success doesn't mean it's a failure in a total loss.

Consider it as part of the journey on a rainbow bridge to the end of your life. You wouldn't want to step on a black/white bridge to get into the end of the bridge, right?!

Now, i gotta survive and live for my own. Mentality grows efficiency in this way instead of someone showing me the lesson of life in their absolutely Right perceptions. Learn it your own way and make changes to see the glimpse of light in further and feel the shine on you. Stay there and dwells back what were left behind just sorrow and unfortunate stories. Happy memories stay and live only partly but the portion are the one which make oneself appreciate the Life is not a sour at all.

It's another life for one to each other.

Step on.

and just take a break whenever the clock needle tickling at the same position for too long.
Even the clock battery will gone in one day that you wouldn't expect.

first, you are not trapped in your situation. You can get out of any situation you want if you are willing to take the pain of doing all the things you dont want to do..the long hard way. The fruitful way.

At seventeen I was homeless and orphaned, taking care of my fourteen year old brother who I somehow managed to keep in school. I had dropped out of school. I did two years of wasting time eventually trying to get my head on straight. At nineteen I was homeless again. Scraped together enough money to get my ass to arizona to study art. Got a temp apt to get me through to the end of the month and took a job at subway (applied all over til I found something). The subway job paid enough money to sometimes eat and pay my small studio rental. I went back to school to get my graduation and was working full time (thought I needed to graduate from HS to get into a good college). Trust me...it was fucking painful. I transferred to a community college the following year and slowly got better and better jobs. Worked telemarketing fundraising to afford a 1977 datsun and art supplies. Shittiest job ever but paid double what subway did. Worked three jobs during the summer to get caught up including going to alaska to work the salmon docks across the country. I did not give a shit what it was, if it paid for my goals to be met and didnt involve anything illegal, I did it.

As time went on I realized I needed to arrange my priorities again. I took a night time job so I could exhaust all my energies in my art and studies. Eventually got a job at AT&T...Att this is Jason how may I help you?...I was still far behind those who had life handed to them their whole life. However, I was catching up. In time I realized it was not a chase against others but to only my own race to my goals. Kept the nose down. Chose friends who worked on art or learning always. Ignored the time wasting folk who never will amount to anything other than regular. Grew up around enough of those to realize the difference. After three and a half years I took my first art job and quit my shit job...have lived with and from art ever since.

By the time I was 29 I had achieved every goal I had reached for when I first set out. That is when I realized it was time to set new goals...each time this happens it feels like starting over...get something done..start again...in time your life becomes what you want it to be. Even those of money have to do this if their life involves learning, skill, and growth. It is not money that holds people back...is just their own mind.

The hard part about certain situations is not everyone is told they can do and reach their goals if they just work their ass off starting RIGHT NOW. Some know it and wont work for whatever reason. They listen to that voice that says I want to chill and watch tv or i dont feel like it. Others have addictions or mental issues keeping them from growing and learning. I didnt want to be any of that. I wanted to do cool stuff...to have an interesting life...and to work in a creative way.

Hard manual labor growing up taught me that my mind would rot if I chose that kind of path. I wanted something to use my mind. Bored if not...and with boredom comes making trouble or distraction. Gotta turn that into work ethic...no choice. Carl Dobsky was telling me this about the atelier every day. It has to be just uncomfortable enough to make the coolest thing to do be art. If there is a blaring tv or anything else, than there are other options. Options that keep one from not working to reach their goals.

Complacency is the womb of mediocrity. You clearly are not complacent. So do something about it in every free second of your day. All this wandering around doing not a whole lot but thinking isn't getting you much done. It is however, giving you a taste of life many others would never have the guts to explore. Just dont stay down there too long without coming up for air.

Almost half year i didn't spent my moments to update this blog. Mainly, i am not a regular blogger who have plenty of excitements in life.

Back to a normal working life is just plainly reorganize my body system to have an organized time-table.

Money is the motivation to keep me doing something that can make me feel motivated & inspired.
If i have a choice to do something in my life. I will prefer doing nothing. And plainly sleep & listening music for the rest of my life. Whatever i am doin in my entire life since to be influence & inspired by the music i passed by.

There are no closer things which can make my mind calm down to draw in concentration except music. When i say music. It is my selected music. Not the music that somebody else play for me.

Drawing is not a fully enjoyment. But it did bring some contented moment once you achieve something that out of expectation. Unfortunately, the moment only arrive very rare as I know what i want to see. It is a suffering process that only person in myself could feel the pain.

Everyday after working, i spent my time to hold the pencil and keep drawing in solitude. Practise my sense in lines & contour. Hope it can improve my digital sketching. I don't have a computer to work in my current rented room. It is indeed suffering for one who spent years to accumulate the motivation to paint in digital. Haha, i am one creature that needs lotsa reasons to decide on something. Over 6 months, i can only feel myself improve just a little. I know there is a big distance to get into the level i wanted to step into. All i need is precious time & tons of personal moment.

Yeah.. i don't need people to entertain me right now. I am hell busy as i should. Working hour takes away all my time. Whenever i having some empty slot, give me a piece of mind with silent sleep or sweet music.

Especially this career related to my entire living style & living motive.

I met this closer friend. He asked me to work hard to achieve like whoever peoples he knew surrounding him. I felt extreemely offended when people actually asking me to work hard.

In real life, peoples judging the achievement by looking at the assets that you possessed.

I am not 100% hardworking. At least i am self-initiative more than 50% to do my job. haha..why not 100%?
Yeah, i will losing my soul and offended to many peoples surrounding me.

There is a balancing measurement in life. We couldn't giving out 100% to something we love. Else, despite something else which couldn't grab it back no matter how much you given out later.

I learnt this lesson and i afraid to repeat the history.

So friends who found this message incidently here. Please don't question about my life. If you are enjoying your life. I blessing you all the time.

And don't call me out for nonsense meet-up. I rather stay home and pick up a meaningful movies to study. There are more things to study for me.

Argh...new artwork... next time or maybe not. I am not proud of them.. I am kinda stress out with no computer to draw at home still.
I just don't want to bring up my ancient AMD64 PC to rented room.

It can't even support latest games. haha...

In my new year resolution, i wish i can..
- play more games to increase my knowledge & art sense. I don't play games to kill time indeed.
- watch more movies that can stronghold my motivation to create art.
- meet more cool peoples that can eventually motivated me. I just don't like people who talk alot and work a little. I couldn't get the idea why i really try to avoid such type of peoples. Probably i afraid to revive the lazy disease in myself.
- More money.. It's true. I won't deny it. To support my family & myself. And quit spending too much concern in how to make extra income. And focusing in my CG journey.
- Healthy and contented. Why no happy? Artist can hardly feel happy most of the time. The moment we are happy is when we don't want peoples to worry about our situation. Should i say that is professional emotional management in life? Yeah, so strike back to you. No sour face to me too. I am giving you a glad smile.
- Peace in everywhere. It's tough. haha... Greed & lust inside human is always hard to forbidden.
- Lastly, i want to do something major in next year. I don't mean marriage..haha...Damn majority of my friends had been marry... Those are luxury life & a burden to my life.

I am one difficult person to cheer up..hehe.

The 1st one is kinda a smooth process.

:Draw a sketch layer.
:Put a color basic underneath the sketch layer.
:Duplicate the sketch layer and keep it for reference when necessary.
:Add a new layer, color over it to cover all the sketches outline.

Saw such method for a few times. Finally, i understand how it works exactly after viewing Jason Chan videos.

Nothing much to say for the rest. Ohh... The red tail gal is for Pepper Project from IFS Singapore. Thanx to Mike for the appearance improvement.

Right now, I hope i am getting better in terms of mentality & artsy too.. Good Luck.

Time for Environment.

Here>>~~ My first environment for year 2008. It is always one of the subject i wish to approach.

Due to it involved a lot of accurancy in perspective issue, sense of depth, atmosphere, and form & lighting. I rarely do environment as painting fun.

This piece was done after i "incidently" viewed a conceptart sketches of the day, DSG 1334 : Environment : The Incredible Egg-Tech-Scape, A top the complex Cyber Domes. I don't completely understand what is "A top the complex cyber domes means". I just wanted myself to finish something without thinking too much before i had my lunch.

I finished almost 50% of the basic layout. Completed the whole piece with another 2 hours something. Totally around 3 to 4 hours, I guess. Whenever i try to force myself keep painting from an ugly looking piece. It will eventually flows in some magical sparks into it.

I believe the theory from Marko Djujervic. Don't give up too soon in your art. There are alot of information still haven't pulling out from my brain. It could be serious stress out if you are in a bad mood.

This one was finished under a relaxing & calm mood. It is fast & pretty fine for the final result.
Time to spent more time in environment.

Here are a few brushes test from m@ in conceptart. One of the coolest artist. Hope to learn from a person like him. It is my ambition to reach his standard. haha. Thanx for the greatest effort to m@ for sharing these awesome customize brushes.

This piece was done before i went to sleep last night. Drew this outta my mind after viewed those photos of important peoples in my life from the past to present days.

Inspired by shadowplay from Joy Division.

It's time to start some mechanical design. Don't restrict myself ever again.
Try before i said I can't.
Paperblue is always my greatest inspired artist. What he did is my motivation when i am low.

This dude expressed the feeling after the last chat session with her. So here she goes again.
I need to move on.
It takes pain, tears, torn, guts, sorrow and a lot of my time to pick up the shattered pieces back to a look-able shape. The crack is there to remind me this damage. It would be as good as a motivation & a promises.

These few days was my very tough hours to hack in my life. Why every chinese new year of mine sure stucked with some impact which i couldn't erased easily.

Missing her. Sorry to make the purest person becomes twisted and deformed-minded.

Everything she own goes away. It hurts even more when you realized it was caused by you.

I had spent around 3 days for this piece before Chinese New Year. It had been a while i didn't try to complete a full piece painting. I was painting the character and added the background later on.
I think this is my current best piece. It would be stay best for a while. Cause i am going crazy right now. PAINT! PAINT! PAINT!... GIMME PAIN PAIN PAIN.. DARN IT~. I gotta discipline my life style even more.

I still couldn't sleep with 5 hours per day. I am such a sleepy head. Issit normal? I am believing i am staring at my monitor to paint too many hours sometimes.
Tell me how EDISON!. I mean the Greatest Inventor scientist.. hee..

This one was actually done before Chinese New Year. I was tried to paint a dino directly from my memory. Then i planned to add a scene to it. Tonight, i spent around 2 hours to finish the whole painting, included lighting, sky, big dino skin, overall atmosphere. Anyway, it is a lousy piece. I just try to push myself to complete a poor-looking painting.

Hee.. My brothers all went back. I haven't painted for a week due to the Chinese New Year festival. Eating, playing, enjoying whatever like the same old year. So, i did this yesterday. I am trying to bring back my freaking creatures imagination. Drawing too many humans for so many months.

Done by yesterday too. An effort to produce a 3D-alike image. Don't guess what it is. It is a FREAK. I kinda like the outcome. It looks pretty cool to me.

So, what i had done today. This little girl i did in the afternoon. Never done something in high detail so quick and "interesting". I couldn't grab the look from the sketch. I am still no good enough as usual.

p/s: Now i remember why those master image looks so crispy & vivid. I read about using the Filter>sharpen the image. It will bring up some details of the downsize image. It really helps to make my painting more alive.

So, i reupload the image which i sharpen both of them. Compared it yourself. The previous one is blurry. Current piece looks more crispy clear. Thanx to my brain.

Yeah, does the art seems to have more form? I know why alot of my previous image looks flat. There is not much contrast in the right area. All is about lighting & shadow at the right place.

The first piece Red Gal was done within 3 days(on & off). The 2nd image was the modification of the foreground materials. Anyway, i am not happy with it. I had changed the abdomen muscles from 4 packs into 6 packs due to a suggestion from a friend.

"If you fall, i'll pick you up" was painted 3 days ago. Just finished some touchup & background today. It's a quick process without too much thinking.

The last piece was rendering within an hour. Not too bad of its quality compare to my previous experience. (The female looks a bit elder...haha..over muscular face?!.)

All is about light, shadow & form. It's an important knowledge to pop out the information from a drawing.

Wacom Tablet Intuos 3 driver- 605-7(091007)

Two weeks ago, i checked the Wacom Site for their new products. I installed the latest driver for my Wacom Tablet 605-7(091007).exe .

After that, i started to paint in photoshop. I realized the driver had improved alot than the previous version i had. Which is 496-8 that provides me faster startup in XP.

Finally, i can painted & blending like what Bobby Chiu was doing in his video tutorial. I always curious how to paint without depending on opacity setting to blend the color faster. I no need to use eyedropper to pick the color surrounding the painted area to blend now.

I can directly paint & blend within 100% opacity. I can finally understand How those forumers suggested learn not to adjust opacity.
Eyedropper picked color to paint can make the painting looks "messy & dirty" easily.

It is like another new beginning of my painting lesson once more. At least the one that works a lot easier than last time.
Anyway, this is one important further staircase's step to myself.

I wish i can learn from some real master in my next job. Self-taught is too slow & limited. I never know i painted in such improper setting for this long.

The first picture is a Demon wif three-headed wolves & striking weapons which holds by its forceful arms. Dat's the warrior having a two-headed cobras as partner in his fighting.

Afterall, i had did my best to paint it at my best potential at dat moment. It tooks me roughly 1 week to amend the character design, posing, anatomy. Overall painting is taking only 30% of my 1 week. Gosh... it is still looks awfully bad when i submit to Conceptart & Cgtalk. Too many mistaken such as Demon Symmetry, anatomy, Flat image & unrecognized movement.
Ok, let it bypass. I am doing more study in whatever that interest me (once again).

The following two images was made for the local Game Company. I am glad the employer like it so very much. I can say both are my current best coloring at a day. I hope i can make the job as a freelance commission. Stay poor, Stay hungry is always the most natural motivation to do something more efficient. The best way to test your determination on something truly. Nice quote from Steve Jobs.

Now i have to deal with "Still doing it" even when you are contented.

More reading on Fashion now. Good for character design & so much inspirations to store.
John Galliano makes me believe Marko Djurdjervic design is not illogical anymore. Actually, i neva thought bout Marko design is not logical to put a car number plate in front chest. It was one thing had been mentioned by Massive Black's Artist. Too many logical sense & rules for a character ideation can loosing quite a lot of fun.

Truly, both of em inspired me in the same way. I like the extreme & cutting edge concept in their design!

I will trying for something like this. I am actually not very like formal-looking character design..haha..

wth... this took me one week to finish. Actually, i had finished 80% of it. But i was very unsatisfy wif the robe design. So, it took me a while to study some fabric and robe from others painting.

So, i redraw the robe only on yesterday including the Reddish sky. And touch-up the fountain more. Anyway, this is unforgiven painting which took too much times dat it shouldn't.

Little update for now.
1st one spend less than hour. I was amazed. Drawing without thinking too much. It's actually 'fasten' up the painting.

2nd one . this took two days. It turns out OK to me. I was too slow to paint.

3rd one. I love this progression. This one is the most fastest & detailing painting i can achieved within a day. Total would be less than 3 hours? I like the fun to create "un-constructive" art. Anatomy & accurancy always block my mind to release free genre to paint!

Recently, i had studied more bout Manga style. Try to develop simple coloring. It is a very important skill to possess. Quick & understandable sillhoutte wif coloring its my current target. I will try to produce some good detail fully illustration recently. Will do it for my www.dinodog-jr.com.

Btw, how to spent 3 hours to draw for urself after the tiresome full-time working?!
Mind-management is very hard to deal & re-organize for years once it was rooted.

In the Nov of 2006, i had finally started a sketchbook in www.conceptart.org. i was asked around how to paint properly with more techniques. And i found myself was worked under an improper wacom setting in adobe photoshop. Supposed to be the Wacom Driver couldn't detect correctly to get the wacom pen working perfectly. No Wonder it took me ages to smooth & blend something much nicer. After February 2007, under a super tips from a conceptart forumer. It was a new beginning to experience with Wacom Tablet all over again with but much faster producing works.

CGTALK CHALLENGE : The Journey begins (2006)

Hell+'0', this is the most serious painting for year 2006. It was for the Cgtalk-The journey begins challenge. Badly i couldn't managed to post the Final Image on time. It was a terrible storm day. A very loud thunder stroke my modem. Arrrgh~!... And it was the 2nd times horrible storm rain at Malacca after 20 years. How 'Lucky' i am.

This painting took me 1 weeks something. Hee.. Yeah, i know i am dat slow. I tried the best i could delivered. I forced myself to finish this due to i felt so bad i couldn't complete a previous Cgtalk challenge. So, never start up something you couldn't afford to lose. Maybe this is personal's behaviour. Not everyone will feel so bad bout being "irressponsibility".

What happaned between year 2005 to 2006?!

Ok I gotta record something between year 2005 to year2006. It would be better to let me flashback after 10 years or something. Maybe i am writing these to people thought i was slacking or bitching for that period. I couldn't achieve any new level in art if i don't sacrify my years especially in financial. Gosh... What a hell i couldn't think bout entertainment & lock myself in front of PC to keep learning to paint. Hee.. it was fun and the pain is necessary. This is a major turning point to my art-life due to blindly keep working for no purposes over the past years. So whoever don't understand me. You are certainly not yet into the path i walked on now. So, marching on, pals!

After left the company, i studied Zbrush & XSI throught video tutorial. Almost half of a year i spent into that. Unfortunately, i still couldn't modelling something to proud of. And it is too extreme & advance to me. Well, i was trying to model a human. The toughest subject & prohibition in beginner's level. It will fail your confidence very easily. Yes, it failed me. And, it was a fun trip. At least i understand what are the major flow in modelling, texturing & lighting. After that, i got into Maya due to much easier to find video tutorial to study. I love working in Maya despite the Rendering system is not much appealig to me comparing to XSI. After that, i explored more into video editing(again) & very excited to explore Adobe After Effects too. It is a wonderful tools.

After a plenty of trial & error in Maya, i decide to study the basic & foundation of Art. It could saves alot of effort to tweak & pull the vertices in the modelling. So, i decided to drop out 3D applications until i mastering my Art foundation especially Human Anatomy. Well, i was actually learnt 2D + 3D at the same year. I couldn't hacked both at the same while.

Haha..and i watched alot of movies to gain back 2 years of entertainment loneliness during working years. Dat's it. I even addict into TV series. Dat's unhealthy. Lucky i don't addict much into gaming. Anyway, i finished GOW. haha.. The first PS2 game i wanted to complete it!

Yeah, i almost forgotten my PC SPOILT. And i almost lost hopes. It was my only working machine. My worst Chinese New year of my life.
Thx to my sista to sponsor on a new rig. Thx to the technician who burned the processor. THX SO MUCH!

And i got a few job offers. And there was one opportunity to be concept artist but i was poorly in human anatomy. Haha. I want to be rounder artist; at least handle the solid painting + drawing skills.

Random doodling in year 2006.
I tried to find the fastest way to render color. Blending & smooothing technique was my biggest concern. Frankly, I don't know what i was trying to do paint efficiency in the almost 2 years i got my wacom. I just keep painting everyday & every hours to explore something new. I've got no mood to look for proper job until i found the essense in painting digitally. It was a thoroughly depression in every paintings i had done in year 2006. I don't want to rely on Mood to paint. I need to achieve a robotic & natural sense to paint correctly & efficiency. It is hard to control a mind to be that strong & discipline. Wooo.. A hard year indeed. I couldn't forgot i cried in front of my dad which i failed to paint better. (Hee...It was a bloody nightmare. The worst & remorse dream i ever have. Gosh..this pressure could kill my soul anytime!)

First Wacom Painting(2005)

Yay! My brother & I went to Singapore for Wacom Tablet. If not mistaken, i went for Slipknot concert as well. And this was done after doodling wacom 2 months.

Took me 2 weeks. Pretty long hours unless it didn't hurt my shoulder & wrist like hell much anymore. Human Anatomy is my worst subject. I can only draw DRAGONBALL style all these years. haha..This is a nightmare to me indeed. Dat's the major drawback i need to improve. And how i couldn't get a concept artist's job convincingly.

Dat's alot of theorically mistakes going on in this piece. Well, let's carry on.

CGTALK CHALLENGE : Master & Servant (2005)

Can you actually believe this is my 2nd Digital painting? Seriously i hate the struggling & exhausted to paint with mouse after went through the Mechiflesh experience. So, withint 2 year i did nothing seriously to finish any paintings.
This was actually done while i was ready to lose job again.

This one took me 2 weeks. It was a very last minute decision and left 2 weeks to deadline. I was tried to paint as good as it can look at. I was painted from 8pm till 3am or even 5am for almost every single days. I had to steal little times to "sneak painting" in working hour to finish this too. This mouse painting almost broke my shoulder & wrist. It was a maximum pain i don't want to repeat. This gotta Thanx to everything that depressed me so much if not i won't be able to finish this piece of important artwork in my life.

So, this is my first digital artwork. It seems very messy. It was for the Cgtalk Mechiflesh contest back to the year 2003 or somewhere. I wouldn't care anymore. Yet it is one of the most important artwork i ever struggling so hard to finish it. It took me two weeks after every working days's night hour. (photoshop 5 + mouse)
